Kuyichi Pure Premium

Since the start of Kuyichi, we have released several ‘Pure Premium’ collections. These collections were our most innovative, sustainable and exclusive collections at the time. Pure Premium revolves around our key-values: organic, pure design, premium quality and innovation. The fabrics for the Pure Premiums were made from 100% certified organic cotton and lined with 100% organic pocketing as well. It all started in 2008, while the last collection was released in 2014. Every Pure Premium collection had its own theme. In this blog, we will discuss some Pure Premium highlights.

For this collection, the main theme was ‘Born in Japan’. All washes, materials and details were unique, authentic and handmade in Japan. In order to emphasize the Japanese theme, we created a steaming basket, with this basket people were able to steam their jeans as an alternative for washing. This way the original design of the jeans would stay in its best shape.

Spring/Summer 2014

One of our all-time favourite collections is the Pure Premium line of Spring/Summer 2014. This collection was inspired by the people working on cotton farms, who used to travel from one farm to the next. The products represent a part of a working and travelling day. For example, an unworn denim, with minimal signs of wear & tear for the start of the day and a worn-in look after a long and hard day of work. During the Spring/Summer 2014 collection we launched our new branding as well.

Currently, we are not planning on releasing a Pure Premium collection anytime soon. However, our Jamie Dry Selvedge gets quite close to a Pure Premium item!
