Pure goods need good care

 When you’re a parent, you take good care of your kids.                                                                                                                                                         When you have a good pair of jeans, you should take good care of them.

In December 2017, we teamed up with Seepje, to the greatest delight of our jeans. For every pair of jeans bought in one of the shops, our customers received a try-out sample of the Seepje soap to help them clean their pure goods.

Seepje is a company that makes organic soaps from super-shells which come from the Sapindus Mukorossi fruit in Nepal. When those super-shells come into contact with water, they form soap that will wash and soften your clothes instantly.

Our Kuyichi jeans require as much care from you as they did during the making process. Therefore, We have some tips for you to take good care of your new baby – sorry, of your new jeans.

+ Don’t wash your jeans too often! Rather, let them breath some fresh air by hanging them up. You can also hang them in your bathroom when you are showering (the hot steam acts as a natural cleaner).

+ Always check the wash indications of your jeans, you can’t wash them at a very high temperature!

+ When you do choose to wash your jeans, always wash with similar colours.

+ Wash your jeans inside out to prevent the colour from fading, and close any zippers and buttons to avoid any damage.

+ Make sure your washing machine is not too full, and go easy on the amount of soap you use. Most people oversoap their laundry.

+ Organic jeans call for organic soap; Seepje soaps harm neither your jeans nor the environment. Normal detergents weaken the fibres, accelerate the proces of tearing. The natural soap of seepje is soft for the fabric and lengthens the lifecycle of your jeans.

+ Don’t leave your jeans for too long inside the washing machine after the washing cycle to prevent any bad smells.

+ Never put your jeans in the dryer! You can leave them to dry in the air by attaching them by the waist, and make sure they are not drying in the sun. If you can’t put them anywhere else, turn them inside-out so the sun doesn’t discolor them.
